El cambio en los sistemas mediáticos: hipótesis y opciones para el análisis en contextos de reforma económica y política

Se sistematizan los recursos analíticos sobre el cambio en los medios que resultan pertinentes para entender la relación entre política y periodismo, tomando como referente el contexto cubano durante la reforma económica y política de la presidencia de Raúl Castro.
Con base en la revisión de la literatura científica se abordan las hipótesis de la convergencia, democratización, hibridación, continuidad institucional, de personas, prácticas y normas -con centralidad en los argumentos sobre la dependencia de la trayectoria pasada y la continuidad de las élites-, y la hegemonía-contrahegemonía.
La dependencia de la trayectoria pasada resulta la propuesta más pertinente para explicar la historia de cambios en los medios en el contexto referido. Igualmente, en su aplicación se plantea observar de manera diferenciada la agencia negociadora, los discursos y las prácticas de los actores históricamente situados. Tal estrategia se sugiere aplicable para otros países del mundo comunista en el siglo XXI.
